We'll always be pack animals in the end. Dogs, humans, same thing. We need our friends. We need companions to make all of this worthwhile. Being alone is no way to go through life. But sometimes we lose our friends... My beloved dog Willow, died May 19 of what I assume was old age. She was 15 years old. I think she knew it was coming too because the day before she was particularly clingy and followed us around the house almost like a baby duck. It was her way of saying goodbye I guess. I collect things. Always have, and probably always will. I've collected many things over the years but I believe military antiques and historical memorabilia are particularly important. I'll find photos, uniforms, letters, equipment. Whatever it is that keeps memories of the past alive. Anything that was important to someone, somewhere in history. I think it's because I know that somebody would appreciate it. If not the original owners of the relics that crowd my room and hang on my wall, then maybe someone later, just as curious about the past as I am now. P.S. Derpy Hooves is best pony.
